What can YOU do to end human trafficking?

You’ve heard the statistics. Modern slavery is here – in our own back yards. And there are things YOU can do to help. January is Human Trafficking awareness month and the “Lancaster Anti-Trafficking Network” will be hosting a Freedom Weekend next weekend to educate and raise awareness about the issues of domestic trafficking and forced labor/slavery occurring globally.

Events include:

THURSDAY, Jan 16 – Movie Screening
7:00 pm at Penn Cinema, Lititz
FREE – no registration necessary
Film screening of Rape For Profit documentary – a feature-length documentary aimed at shedding light on the growing problem and solutions for the 300,000 underage girls sexually trafficked in the U.S. every year.

SATURDAY, Jan 18 – Conference
8:30-1:00 at the Ware Center, Lancaster
FREE – no registration necessary
*MANY exhibitors, door prizes, Prince Street Cafe on site, great speakers and break out sessions for youth, parents, men, legal and healthcare professionals and will also include sessions on international slavery and the basics of trafficking. Come meet the many people networking to prevent and end modern day slavery and restore men and women and learn practical ways you can get involved and make a difference.
